In 2017, the force was strong with Jaymes and Stamatis as they launched Hotspur Way, a new Tottenham Hotspur podcast that involved members of the official Cyprus Spurs Supporters Club.

The veil of the dark side came crashing down just four episodes in, as Stamatis couldn’t be bothered to continue with the pod, leaving Jaymes stranded. Feeling sorry for himself, Jaymes left for Ahch-Tottenham, leaving the Spurs podcasting lifestyle behind.

After many years in the podcasting wilderness, something began to stir. A whisper in the east, a shadow in Epping, and the force began to move steadily in early 2023. Having been conjured by a powerful Jedi named Spooky, he asked Jaymes to appear on his pod, The Filthy Shambles. This rekindled the light in Jaymes, and he quickly realised what he had to do; he realised that Hotspur Way indeed did have a destiny!

In June 2023, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Hotspur Way rose again. Unlike other vanilla, Sky Sports News-styled Tottenham Hotspur podcasts, Hotspur Way had a different pathway. There are, after all, far too many “look at us, we’re pretend journalists & know how to copy and paste ITK tweets like champions” Spurs pods out there. And to be fair, The Last Word On Spurs does that admirably. The mission in hand was to create the first-ever adult oriented Tottenham Hotspur podcast.

So, in came Johnny, the American, who actually has a sense of humour. Along with his “big dick” energy, his Lemon Party gag got the world moaning. Johnny was also brought on to expand the pod in North America, but failed miserably in that department. No one in the Dog and Pony even knows he’s on a podcast.

Then came the pièce de résistance, X’s very own verbally violent pin-up girl, Hannah. This smiling assassin was clearly sent from the future to kill off most men on X, as well as their wives and girlfriends. With Hannah on the pod, a paradox developed whereby all men want to be with her, with the added hilarity of their partners both hating her and wanting to be her at the same time. The Earth’s ozone has nothing on Hannah’s toxic mouth, and her addition to Hotspur Way would indeed be a fine one.

Hannah, Johnny & Jaymes went on to create the adult Tottenham Hotspur podcast most people pretend to hide away from. Like bestiality porn, the three of them knew that people would look away, only to be drawn back in as the donkey goes for it. To enhance the “adult” bit of the pod, more debauchery was needed, and so more Hotspur Way squad members were brought into the pack.

Joshua was then added to the group; a digital Roman dictator who has no idea when to pull out of anything. Fortunately for Josh, he does have a lot going for him, like his mouth, which is akin to a Chernobyl reactor. He also believes he has a chance with Jess, which we all find laughable.

Then out of nowhere came Toj (a.k.a. The Other Jaymes). Having the skin of a proper Tory and being the true partridge in the pear tree of this Hotspur Way story, Toj’s addition was massively needed, although his cup and string communication devices weren't.

Now in 2024, the Hotspur Way gang, who refer to themselves as well as their listeners as “slags,” have created a true adult Tottenham Hotspur podcast that no one is proud of, and certainly didn’t ask for it to exist, but is there all the same.

There is now a new hope, a sexier Tottenham Hotspur podcast hope, and it’s called Hotspur Way!
